We've got some new goods for The Mandalorian ahead of the show's launch next week. Disney and Lucasfilm have been guarding the show's secrets pretty closely, but with the first ever live-action Star Wars show set to make its debut when Disney+ launches next week, they're starting to ramp up the marketing. As such, we've got a TV spot which brings us some new footage, as well as synopses for the first three episodes.

Starting with The Mandalorian TV trailer, which was debuted by Verizon, we start with Pedro Pascal's titular character, who doesn't yet have a name. We see he's been tasked with protecting a mother and her child, for reasons that remain mysterious. We then hear some voiceover from Nick Nolte's character. Lots of action shots. Lots of pretty impressive landscapes. Quite a few creatures and plenty of characters from all walks of the Star Wars universe. It's quite obvious from just this 30-second spot alone that this is going to be something very unique within the franchise.

Before moving on, we should caution that anyone who wants to go into the show totally and completely free of any real plot information may want to turn back. While these synopses wouldn't be considered spoilery by most definitions, they do lay out a pretty clear arc for the first three episodes. With that having been said, here are the descriptions for the first three episodes.

Chapter 1:A Mandalorian bounty hunter tracks a target for a well-paying client.

Chapter 2: Target in-hand, The Mandalorian must now contend with scavengers

Chapter 3: The battered Mandalorian returns to his client for reward.

As has been teased in previous footage, The Mandalorian is going to be tasked with a big, risky contract from Werner Herzog's character. Who that target is exactly or what the nature of the contract is being kept under wraps. It was previously reported that the first episode of the show will contain a major spoiler for the Star Wars universe. It's entirely possible this target will relate to the spoiler, but without any further information, any speculation is just hopeless guesswork. Lucasfilm is playing this one particularly close to the chest.

The show was created by Jon Favreau (Iron Man) who serves as an executive producer. Dave Filoni (The Clone Wars, Rebels) directed the pilot and also serves as a producer. Other directors include Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Deborah Chow (Better Call Saul), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates). The first season consists of eight episodes, with season 2 already underway. The rest of the cast includes Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Rocky) and Omid Abtahi (American Gods). The Mandalrian episode one debuts alongside the launch of Disney+ November 12. Episode two is set to follow on November 15. Be sure to check out the new TV spot for yourself.
