Ben Hayflick (Kurtwood Smith) from the National Division of Health shows up to intimidate Dr. Richie into keeping his cancer cure a secret. One of Valerie's patients is a young psychic girl(Laura Marano) and the staff uses her to get insurance info from a comatose patient. Dr. Maestro treats a child with a knife in his chest, refusing to believe that the knife is causing the kid's medical problems.
