The SUNDAY FUNNIES: Jackass Crew Parodies Hit Movies and True Grit Subtitles

Hey there kids. Brian Gallagher here with this week's look at all the news that wasn't exactly fit for print. There's a lot to get to this week so let's get started with a hilarious comic strip which ties in Back to The Future and the ridiculous amount of Hollywood remakes:

I'm actually kind of surprised I haven't seen something like this sooner. Unreality Magazine came across a hilarious photo that shows how Marty and Doc might have reacted Back to The Future if they really did go back to the year 2010:

Hilarious, yes, but it would be even greater if we had some sort of mash-up video with Marty seeing all these movies at a theater. Still, this photo is rather hilarious because it's so very true.

The Critics Choice Movie Awards aired on VH1 on Friday night and part of the show included the guys from Jackass 3D parodying some of the biggest movies of the year: The Social Network, Inception and Black Swan. Take a look at these hilarious videos below:

I think this will sufficiently hold us Jackass 3D fans over until the DVD and Blu-ray on March 8. I doubt the Academy would hire them to spoof all the Best Picture nominees... but damn would that be funny...

As we all impatiently await for The Dark Knight Rises to start shooting this spring, The Auto Blog has put together an awesome and very comprehensive history of the Batmobile. Take a look at this large illustration below, which even identified the base car for each Batmobile:

Cool stuff, eh? Although, it only makes me even more curious about what kind of vehicular units Batman will be rolling in for The Dark Knight Rises. Waiting sucks, doesn't it?

While I'm still rather upset at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's complete exclusion of True Grit at the Golden Globes, this still put a smile on my face. College Humor has a funny little video with clips from the movie and hilarious subtitles that make fun of Rooster Cogburn's semi-illiterate ways. Take a look at this video below:

Jeff Bridges does deserve an Oscar nomination for playing this cantankerous marshal, but you've got to admit he isn't the most well-spoken character. Lets just hope this isn't a criteria the Academy members take into consideration because if True Grit gets snubbed like it did at the Globes, I just might hire my own marshal and hunt down the Academy members myself...

While I initially thought the idea of a 12-year-old writing a letter to Albus Dumbledore sounded adorable... when I read it, I still really don't know what to think about it. Take a look at this letter below from William H:

Um yeah. For one, this kid certainly does have a pretty decent vocabulary for a 12-year-old... which kind of offers a bit of a perplexing problem: if this kid is as smart as he writes... shouldn't he, well, know Hogwarts and Albus Dumbledore AREN'T REAL? Anyway, the letter will be part of a book called Dear Mr. Potter, a website and upcoming book about how Harry Potter has changed people's lives and stuff. I wonder if this William H will grow up to become a renowned author who still believes in Santa Claus...

Black Swan was released December 3rd, 2010 and stars Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Barbara Hershey, Winona Ryder, Benjamin Millepied, Ksenia Solo, Kristina Anapau. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky.

Jackass 3D was released October 15th, 2010 and stars Seann William Scott, Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Spike Jonze, Chris Pontius, Jason Acuña, Ryan Dunn. The film is directed by Jeff Tremaine.

The Dark Knight Rises was released July 20th, 2012 and stars Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

True Grit was released December 22nd, 2010 and stars Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Barry Pepper, Hailee Steinfeld, Paul Rae, Ed Corbin. The film is directed by Ethan Coen, Joel Coen.
