The CW Network has renewed Gossip Girl, Nikita and Hart of Dixie for the 2012-2013 season, while canceling Ringer and The Secret Circle.

This will be Gossip Girl's sixth and final season, which will span 10 or 11 episodes. Both Nikita and Hart of Dixie were considered to be "on the bubble" to come back next season. Nikita will receive a 22-episode order for Season 3, although it isn't known how many episodes Hart of Dixie is getting for Season 2. Ringer and The Secret Circle debuted last fall, and both show suffered in the ratings throughout the entire season.

The network has also handed out series orders to Arrow, The Carrie Diaries, Beauty and the Beast, Cult, and First Cut. This is the most new shows the CW has picked up in one season.

Stay tuned next week when The CW Network unveils its official schedule for the 2012-2013 season.
