Roseanne Barr to star in new comedy Downwardly Mobile

Roseanne Barr is returning to comedy TV, having set up a new project at 20th Century Fox Television with her longtime boyfriend Johnny Argent, titled Downwardly Mobile, about a close-knit blue-collar family living in tough economic times, harkening back to her days on Roseanne.

Roseanne Barr has already launched a reality series on Lifetime, titled Roseanne's Nuts, which premiered earlier this summer, and follows Barr as she runs a 40-acre macadamia nut farm in Hawaii.

No word on when the new show will premiere.
