Earlier this month, we reported that Parks and Recreation will shoot its Season 5 Premiere in Washington D.C. Today we have word that the cast of NBC's hit comedy is currently in the nation's capitol shooting the episode, which now appears to be the season's second episode. Take a look at the official plot synopsis for the episode, slated to air September 27, that includes the news Senators John McCain, Barbara Boxer, and Olympia Snowe will appear as themselves.

"Recently elected councilwoman Leslie Knope (series star and Emmy nominee Amy Poehler) ventures outside her hometown of Pawnee, Indiana, and travels to the nation's capital to visit Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott), who invites her to a cocktail party attended by several high-powered politicians - including Senators Boxer, McCain and Snowe."

There are also rumors swirling around the set that filming will take place in the Old Executive Office Building in D.C., where Vice President Joe Biden's office is located. There is no confirmation that the Veep will make an appearance on the show. We also have a photo from the set featuring Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt. Check it out.
