Andy Samberg has exited Saturday Night Live after six successful seasons on the long-running show. This follows Kristen Wiig's recent departure at the end of the Season 37 finale hosted by Mick Jagger.

The actor, who will be seen June 15th in That's My Boy opposite former Saturday Night Live cast member Adam Sandler, called leaving the hardest decision of his entire career.

"It's an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life."

The official announcement comes after two months of rumors that he would be leaving the show. Andy Samberg helped shepard the Digital Shorts segment of the series, which have garnered 7 Emmy nominations.

Jason Sudeikis is also rumored to be leaving the show before its 38th Season kicks off this fall, but he has yet to put in his official resignation.
