'American Horror Story' Wants Joseph Fiennes for Season 2

The 'Camelot' star is in negotiations to play the head of a mental institution in Ryan Murphy's FX horror series.

Back in January, we reported that the FX hit horror series American Horror Story will feature an all new cast and location for Season 2. Today we have word that Joseph Fiennes is in negotiations for one of the last new roles, the head of an institution for the criminally insane.

Emmy winner Jessica Lange is returning as an all new character this year, who works at the mental hospital and develops an romance with Joseph Fiennes' character. Other new cast members this season include Chloë Sevigny, James Cromwell, and Adam Levine, along with Season 1 alums Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, and Zachary Quinto.

Production is scheduled to begin later this summer. The series expected to return with its Season 2 Premiere on FX sometime in October.
